Fantastic Beasts and where to find them: Trailer Review

Harry Potter fans will have to wait just under a year now to return to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but this time they take a trip far away from Hogwarts and way before the time of the boy who lived. JK Rowling's short journal like book of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is merely just notes made by Harry on the beasts he has encountered at Hogwarts. But this follows the journey of a Magizoologist played by Eddie Redmayne, watch the trailer below:

Unfortunately this is just a teaser for what is to come so showing any large beasts and colourful spells would almost certainly ruin any future trailers to be released. But still, between now and 11 months time we will have more trailers and more Eddie Redmayne to get excited about!

Lumos Maxima opens the trailer, as if the light of the wand is guiding us back to the Rowling's magical world that has been untouched for five years now. Also reminding us of  'The Prisoner of Azkaban' opening with Harry practising the spell, but this time the light illuminates the Warner Bros. Logo and transitions into a shot of Katie Waterstone's character. Oh and that woman with a birds nest on her head, at least that's what it looks like.

"Yesterday, a wizard entered New York with a case. A case full of magical creatures, and unfortunately some have escaped" - Basically the plot has been described to us but as a teaser trailer we are given little detail of anything else to do with story.

Newt opens the case of the creatures and is welcomed by a rather unsettled beast, but as he closes the lid we hear nothing. The casualness of this shot gives us yet another reminder back to The Prisoner of Azkaban with the house keeping lady in the leaky cauldron. If this is the comedy we will expect form this film then I'm up for that!

The trailer ends with Waterstone's character calling after Mr Scamander as he shoots a spell from his wand.

Newt Scamander, a magizoloogist played by Eddie Redmayne looks more wizard like than anyone in the trailer, and he's played by a terrific actor! Being a huge Harry Potter fan this teaser trailer brings back the atmosphere that Harry Potter had created, bringing me back to my childhood as it will for many other people as well. A great first look at the wonders that Rowling still has to offer in terms of films and bringing to life a different place in the world of magic in a different time as well.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the next 11 months! :D
