MCU - What we have to look forward to
The MCU has come so far since 2008 and still it's just getting started! There is so much to look forward to as we build up to the ultimate Infinity War in 2018 and 2019!
Captain America: Civil War
Starting Phase 3 of the Cinematic Universe, Civil War which will pit Tony Stark against Steve Rogers. But we will also be introduced to other heroes who will be getting their own stand alone films in pahse 3. Black Panther being played by Chadwick Boseman and Tom Holland as Spider man. This film is set to be a very important one as we will witness a huge divide in the Avengers team and have our beloved heroes side with Iron or Captain America and fighting one another.
Dr Strange
Set to be released late in 2016, Dr Strange will see Benedict Cumberbatch star as the great surgeon who life is changed forever when he is involved in a car crash that permanently damages his hands. He searches the World for a way to make his hands better and takes an interest in magic. This is a little different to some other Marvel plots and should be interesting to see Cumberbatch in the MCU!
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Arriving in 2017 the sequel to the loved Guardians of the Galaxy brings back Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Groot and Rocket with no changes to the casting of those heroes. We know very little about this film due to it being just over a year away at the moment, but it's still nice to know that 2017 already has something to get excited about!
Untitled Spider Man
For so long Sony have owned the rights but now he's coming home as Marvel struck a deal with Sony to include him in the MCU. Although Sony will still have a hand in production he will be introduced in Civil War. The Toby Maguire years weren't the most glamorous for Peter Parker and then Andrew Garfield had a go at it and wasn't too bad either. Tom Holland has his chance to make his mark on the Superhero!
Thor: Ragnarok
In 2017 we will see Ragnorok come to Thor as he tries to prevent destruction from coming to his home world! All we know is that it may come in the form of Loki who will be making a return to the screens, probably one of the most loved, or hated villains in the MCU, and not just because of Tom Hiddleston.
Black Panther
The first Marvel film of 2018 as Black Panther's solo film will arrive just before Infinity War is upon us. Chadwick Boseman will play T'Challa, Prince of Wakanda who rises to power after his father is murdered!
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
The Marvel film that will be so big they split it into two parts, one in the summer of 2018 as we will finally witness the superhero team face off against Thanos! This is what the whole over arching story of the MCU has been building up to and it's going to be epic!
Ant Man and The Wasp
It didn't look like Ant Man would be getting a sequel but I am so happy it is! This one will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Land as he teams up with Evangeline Lilly's character, Hope Van Dyke who is the newly created 'Wasp'.
Captain Marvel
The first Marvel movie of 2019 will see Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Danvers (Uncasted as of yet), gain her powers from the Alien race known as 'Kree' and have her own solo story! The MCU seems to have not introduced a lot of female superheroes and it'll be nice to see a bit of diversity.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 2
Infinity War Part 2 will come in the summer of 2019, continuing on from the first part and hopefully concluding the Infinity Storyline.
Inhumans
In 2019 we will see Inhumans come into the mix, introducing a range of character with special powers!
So all of this to look forward to and reviews from all the other MCU films! This will become a very MARVELOUS Blog! Pardon the pun ;)
